刘春雷

刘春雷 ,男,博士,教授,博士生导师。拔尖人才领军学者。

2019年回国前曾在英国雷丁大学气象系工作了 20 多年,目前仍是雷丁大学客座研究员。先后在中国科学技术大学、英国曼切斯特大学获学士、博士学位。

主要从事地球系统能量收支平衡变化、水循环变化、气候变化、极端降雨、热带气旋发生发展机理、气候预报、冰雹的雷达识别、卷云的光学特性、环境数据共享,以及非球形粒子的散射计算等方面的研究。发表的 SCI 论文已被引用了 1800 多次。有把卫星观测资料、大气和海洋再分析资料,以及气候模式模拟资料结合在一起的丰富经验。

近年来,他的团队提供的 1985 年以来的大气层顶辐射能量通量、大气能量散度和地表能量通量,被广泛应用于气候变化研究和气候模式模拟评估。其中大气层顶辐射能量通量被 IPCC AR6 评为高可信度。该套资料把卫星观测资料、大气再分析资料和大气气候模式模拟资料相结合,利用能量守恒和质量守恒,对大气再分析资料的大气能量散度进行订正,并导出地表能量通量。
